I engaged Solid Builders to undertake an extensive renovation that involved turning the garage into a bedroom, en-suite, and lounge; plus building a new garage and a deck. I found Kyle to be a very non-stressed person to deal with, and nothing was ever a problem. He always listened and delivered a good product.

Workmanship was spot on, on time and to drawings. The sub-trades (plumber, electrician and drain-layer) were faultless.

It was always our dream to build a new home in New Zealand, having emigrated from England six years ago. Our new home was built in July 2013 on our lifestyle block in West Melton. I love everything about our new home – the flow, the warmth, the big kitchen, and the ease in which we can socialise with family and friends.

We heard about Solid Builders from a Project Manager, and then made contact with others who had previously built with them. They all gave rave reviews about Kyle and the team. As soon as we met Kyle we felt comfortable; he was easy to deal with, friendly, approachable – everything you could want in a builder. We also liked that he integrated sustainability wherever possible. That sat well with us.

We lived on the property during the build and were amazed with how clean and tidy the site was kept. The team were always friendly, very hardworking and respectful. If we ever had questions or wanted to change something, Kyle was good at giving us a couple of really good choices. He was always open to our ideas and very accommodating.

When we purchased a large section in Lincoln six years ago, we wanted a two story, 4 bedroom home plus study, 2 bathrooms, and a double garage.

It gives me great pleasure to send this mail to you commending the way in which Kyle and his team at Solid Builders set about and completed the process of repairing my 92 year old Dad’s flat at 1A Ngarimu Street, Dallington.

The process itself looked daunting from an outsiders view and from a very busy worksite over the months we now have a flat that looks again in great shape. I was able to be in Christchurch for several meetings to support Dad and found it very assuring to see the way the team listened to Dads concerns.
